Nestled perfectly for our adventures in Slovenia and Trieste, the location was ideal for kayaking and sightseeing. The hosts were great - genuinely attentive and eager to suggest local restaurants for our family meals. We had a memorable breakfast in the lovely garden, where the kids enjoyed the space while my wife and I sipped our coffee. With a dog and cat around, the place felt welcoming, especially for our toddlers. A highlight was their vineyard excursion, only 12 km away, which was educational and offered a glimpse into local wine production. The kids, under 2, were easily accommodated, making it stress-free for us. Despite the language barrier - with my English and my wife's German clashing with our hosts' Italian - we managed to bond over shared experiences and laughs. We left with beautiful memories and a sense of connection.
